Explore a new opportunity to challenge yourself. Develop an original work. Build and strengthen Acadiana's creative community.

The Residency @ the Center program hosted by the Acadiana Center for the Arts strives to offer our local artists a platform to develop original work and to engage our audience in a public dialogue on the value of contemporary art making.

Residency @ the Center began in 2012 and has hosted ten local artists in the development of original work in visual, performing and media-driven disciplines.

The program seeks artists working in a diverse range of media who want to expand, explore and challenge their current art making practices. The ending of the residency will offer artists an exhibit space and/or a performance space to publicly present work. (January 2018)
